Fay always thought that the princess was lucky. Although her memories were gone, she would always have Syaoran, her knight in shining armor. Although she would never remember him, he would never leave her side.
Fay would watch from afar as their relationship grew. He could see the pain deep in Syaoran's eyes, when she would ask "I knew you...didn't I?"
He couldn't say, she would never know, but it didn't dim his determination.
Fay thought that Sakura was lucky, because he had never had someone like that for him.
As their journey continued, he realized that he wanted to protect her, too. She had become special to him. She had become special to all of them, and so they would protect her until the very end.
"You will regain your memories," he told her, and she smiled. Her third knight.
"Thank you, Fay-san," she said as he gathered her in his arms.
